What Exactly is a BackBurner?
I started writing this blog "The Back Burner" because I was thinking that my ability to process things well was enhanced when I wrote them down. Something about the slow linear nature of writing and alphabets. But I recognized in tandem that I am a primarily external processer. I come to know things by saying them. To people.
A blog where I could simmer ideas to fruition in the presence of friends, family and benevolent others seemed perfect.
And it was. I wrote the back burner for two years. I rambled about unimportant things and some of the most important things I think about.
Now that I've finished writing it -- its a sort of testament to what it was like to live one life among friends for two years. I'm grateful for the friends and family who read it faithfully and for those who read it at all. It's funny how the presence of readers makes you feel more real.
I've collected posts -- sacred and mundane, profound and banal -- but these are the better ones in any case, and organized them just there to the right. Feel free to browse. Feel free to drop me a line if you want to engage in a more mutual conversation sometime.
Peace~
